The Vinovia Apartment will offer luxurious accommodation in tranquil surroundings in Northumberland on the banks of the River Derwent and will command beautiful, elavated views of the nearby countryside.

The Vinovia Apartment derives its name from the Roman Fort and settlement situated two miles north of nearby Bishop Auckland in County Durham. It is believed that this fort was settled in AD79 to guard the crossing of the River Wear by Dere Street, which was the main road between York, Hadrian’s Wall and Scotland. Dere Street in fact passes some 200 yards from Vindomora Country Lodges where, it crossed the River Derwent at Vindomora, now know as Ebchester.

The Vinovia Apartment with its amazing views, is located above the Reception and accessed via external wooden stairs, so will not be suitable for persons with restricted mobility.
Inside you will find a double bedroom and a second bedroom containing two single beds which can be made into a Super King size allowing up to four guests. The apartment has an open plan kitchen / living area and the bathroom has a jacuzzi bath / shower to add to that luxurious feel . Outside on the balcony, will be a private Hot Tub and patio furniture, with amazing, elevated views across open Northumberland countryside.

Included for your comfort and convenience is a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge with a small freezer, hob and oven: bed linen, towels and robes. We even supply robes for children (5-12 yrs).
The apartment also has complimentary toiletries, including hand wash, shampoo and shower gel.
