The Vindomora Lodge

The new Vindomora Lodge at Vindomora Country Lodges will offer guests, luxurious accommodation, amazing elevated views and a separate private gated access, all set in tranquil surroundings on the banks of the River Derwent in Northumberland.
This lodge is planned for release in Summer 2021.

The lodge derives its name from the Roman Fort that was located in nearby Ebchester, The name Vindomora, derived from the Celtic language, means ‘Black Moor Edge’, a name remarkably descriptive of the position and vicinity of Ebchester.
The fort was located on Dere Street (200 yards from our Lodges), the main Roman Road linking Eboracum (York) with Hadrian's Wall at the River Derwent crossing point. Built at the foot of a long descent, now Ebchester Hill, sloping towards the north.
The nearby Roman Wall was built on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in AD122 and in 1987, Hadrian’s Wall was made into a UNESCO World Heritage Site and therefore is acknowledged as a site of outstanding value to humanity

In the Vindomora Lodge you will find a Super King bed, 2 single beds which can also be made into a Super King size and a bed settee offering accommodation for 6 persons.
Included for your comfort will be a private covered Hot Tub; a real log stove with an initial, complimentary basket of logs; a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer, hob and oven: bed linen, towels and robes. We even do robes for the children (5-12 yrs).
The Lodge will also have complimentary toiletries, including hand wash, shampoo and shower gel.
